Modular By Design
Login, menus, messages, files, doors, transfers, and sysop functions run as separate applications.
Wait For Calls
Mutineer answers incoming connections, detects the caller, and presents a proper login or registration flow. The first registered account becomes the Level 9 sysop.
Run Message Bases
Callers can quick-scan, view summaries, read, post, select bases, and delete messages when permitted. Offline tools let the sysop verify, rebuild, recover, compact, and maintain the bases.
Operate File Areas
Indexed file libraries support browsing, new-file listings, downloads by number or filename, uploads, descriptions, statistics, access levels, and storage paths.
Transfer With XMODEM
MMS temporarily bypasses normal terminal translation for raw XMODEM uploads and downloads, then restores the caller's terminal mode when the transfer is complete.
Launch Door Games
Door games are separate Atari BASIC programs that can live on another disk or storage device. When the caller exits, control returns to Mutineer without losing the session.
Control Access
Access levels 0 through 9 control session length, daily time, message access, file access, upload permission, download permission, and door access.
